Two to Tango

• Tango couples practice prior to taking part of the qualifying round of the Stage Tango competition of the 6th edition of the Tango World Championship in Buenos Aires, Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008. More than 400 couples are competing for a US$4,100 prize in each category at Argentina's Sixth World Tango Dance championship. Tango began in the 19th century suburbs of Buenos Aires and Motevideo, later spreading to Europe, the U.S. and Japan.
