With all the problem people are facing because of the financial crisis in this country, who cares about Michelle Obama, her makeup, or her clothes? I have real human problems to face daily, and they have nothing to do with my makeup, or wardrobe. I wish my problems were so insignificant.

Dear Doyinanlike, It was the people's, and apparently your's (big time) as well, choice to focus on First Lady Obama's fashion choice...just a little too superfluous for the, or most, educated citizen to focus on, and I believe it began with fasion because the First Lady does not spend accordingly to other First Ladies in designer salon clothing, but rather at Gap, New York (NYC), and I've even read Target. What seems over your head is the implication she is making in shopping trend, as a great influence over many fashionistas, that great style and a good look doesn't need to cost the fortune the GOP spent on Sarah Palin's clothes from Sak's and Neiman Marcus, that extravagance that is sitting in bags in some GOP office somewhere, which is totally inappropriate while our country, thanks to the direction of our last president, was inherited in the gutter and so many are losing their jobs, taking big cuts to keep their jobs, losing their homes, and more homeless families than ever. Inasmuch as Palin was a looker, beauty contestant in one of the five colleges she attended, spent into debt to get a super hockey rink built, changed her mind after she got the money for the bridge to nowhere and did not return it to the Treasury, as she was wont, ethically, to do, but kept it for her own little Alaskan, piggies, is now being billed for the extravagances of taking her uninvited children on trips with her and charging them to the state and the time spent "away on business" back and forth to her family home which she put in for rebate, so she's a looker, alright, and maybe Michelle is not quite the beauty contestant she is, in those designer chosen designer styled clothing bought for her, but she is a real First Lady with enough sympathy and good sense not to show off designer outfits, instead of her off the rack clothing for her family, while our country takes a dive. But, if my opinion counts for anything, her sensibility, thoughtfulness, and passion for the American people, especially those who are suffering right now, gives her such a sensitive beauty that, well, I guess it would take one with such ethics and concern themselves, to see in her eyes, in her smile or provocative pondering, that makes this first lady a lady of real Class, even without the 7 houses Cindy McCain has to change clothes in, verbally abused in public by her husband notorious for his profanity in the Senate and wild temper, too, so while she may appear more beautiful to you, she is a weaker specimen of the gender than Michelle and sends bad messages to American women who are suffering under abusive husbands, like herself, and that weakness and that image of being beaten down is written all over her face, and if you don't recognize it, that's okay. Or maybe that helplessness attracts you. But there are plenty enough Americans who are pleased with her Michelle's ability to align herself with the common spirit of the American family and shows great strength and tenacity in the wake of economic crisis and sets a new standard of fashion that is affordable for our working and middle class families, who do buy their $40 sweaters at GAP as well. So ******** what beauty means to you, and let the rest of us enjoy the spirit of challenge OUR FIRST LADY brings to us, and the beauty with which she is seen through the bright spirit of color and courage. By the way, I'm 55, BA summa cum laude, MA 3.97 GPA currently unemployed, and I think she is beautiful.

What I find disturbing is that they seem to have tried to make her look more Caucasian - Lightening her skin and putting a shade of pink on her that usually only flatters very light skin.

And for the record, I am a white, middle class, christian, gun owner, and military vet, that voted for Obama. Mrs. Obama looked beautiful, classy, and very lively. Unlike cindy mccain or those bush broads whom looked as dumb as they did on the verge of death.

Rabble rousers come in all colors. The person spouting the monkey insults could be a white supremist, or even a black supremist. Either one would love to stir up trouble between peoples. If this were a discussion about a white woman, you can be sure to find an equally ugly rabble rouser...and again, that instigator could be a black racist/supremist, but could very possibly be a white one too. For centuries rabble rousers have done their think, before the internet in person, or in articles, letters, grafitti, etc. Today we have the internet where anyone can pretend to be anyone enabeling rabble rousers to take things to whole new heights.

Actually myrnoway doesnt represent us at all. I mean, everyone is a bada** on the internet right. myrnoway, you are trash and the bible thumpers, stop touching kids and open your eyes. We are not doomed as a country because of politicians. It simply comes down to the fact that americans look for any reason to divide themselves. So just keep it up, keep acting like 5 y/o's, and this beautiful country that myself and so many others fought for will continue to circle the drain.
