These are great shots, beautiful. I love the idea of national corridors. It makes perfect sense. What a great gift you have, and thank you for sharing it with us!

Wow, these photos are GORGEOUS!!! I love nature and believe that these photos truly capture some of the many beautiful and gentle animals and landscapes that are a vital part of our planet. I truly hope that we can all work together by taking action (go to Florian Schulz' website; he's the photographer) to make sure that we can sustain these beautiful, pristine environments and animals!

To CourMarl: I have experienced this terrible Alaskan policy firsthand. During the summer of 2007 I photographed a wonderful wolf family in Denali National Park. Over many weeks I watched the wolves behavior and saw the young pups grow up. When I came back the next year was shattered to hear, that the alfa male and female had been killed as they left the park in search of food.

To Mics Cat and Waltonfire, yeah, you always get ask: "What camera do you use ?" or I get the comment " This camera must take great pictures"! - Year of course and I have nothing to do with it - just point and shoot:) But for those who want to know the cameras that have been used for the images: Nikon F5 ( during the time of slidefilm) , Nikon D2xs, Nikon D300, Nikon D3.

Waltonfire, It's not the camera, stupid, it's the photographer! Asking a great photographer what kind of camera he uses is like asking a great chef, what kind of oven he uses. You can take a great picture with a homemade camera if you have the talent and the "eye."

Just saw the discussion about "fake" images. I can assure you that all the images are real photographs without any changes to the image after they have been taken. Actually most of these images have still been taken on film. For a while I was worried about the new revolution of digital photography and the increase of fake images. Now I am more at ease because a great deal of my photography is about story telling and my own experience in the field. You cannot do that when the images are not real. There simply is no story if you took an image in a zoo or game-farm and photoshop it into a wild landscape. And the experience in the field is what it is all about. These are the memories that are burned into my mind and the reason for my doing this job.

Hello everybody - this is Mr. Photographer writing. I just received a lot of emails out of nowhere from people that I did not know. I asked how they knew about my photography and let me know about AOL. So I just checked out this page ........ I did not make this selection and did not know they would include pic of me :) Have you guys seen the video on my work: www.visionsofthewild.com ? Check it out. And also the blog on the new Freedom to Roam project. I have been working on freedom to roam for over 14 years now. My hope is the creation of wildlife corridors ........ well anyway, thanks for all your comments!
